My first foray into making handmade jewellery was because I was (and still am) too much of a coward to pierce my ears and much too vain to give up on earrings. So I started small, learning to hook on clip-ons onto the earrings I’d bought.

And with time I ventured more into making my own jewellery, experimenting with clay, wirework… It took time and a lot of practice, but I have finally found a style that I feel embodies what I’m trying to say with my pieces of art.

Each little piece of jewellery I make has a whole epic story behind it: a stolen treasure from a mermaid’s cove, a shard of the moon fallen, drops of nightsky captured in a glittering stone, jewels from a lost isle shining with the song of the sea. They are created from dreams, meant to inspire, to remind everyone that beauty can be found in anything or anyone.

Edelstine Designs is run by two students whose hobby have eventually developed into this online store. Our jewellery are hand-made one-of-a-kind masterpieces at affordable prices. Having had clients all the way from Texas to Portugal, our jewellery pieces are well-received all over the world. We not only strive to create jewellery, but wearable forms of art.

In 2009, we were contacted by a gallery owner from Michigan, with the plans to include some of our jewellery in their showcase. ‘Bidadari’, a boutique bringing in handmade/high street designer shoes from various parts of Indonesia, will also be supplying some jewellery pieces from us from 2010 onwards! :)

We offer a range of different style of jewellery, varying from wire-based pieces to handmade clay charms. From modern jewellery to vintage-inspired, there is something available for everyone!
